To help keep the SEFD up-to-date, accurate, and globally comprehensive, SEFI works with an expansive network of 'Regional Partners' and 'Contributors' across all continents who provide us with current information on sustainable energy lenders and investors in their designated regions.

This network was set up to enable and ensure the ongoing collection of information on sustainable energy financiers around the world – who they are, what systems they finance, what forms of finance they offer, and where they invest – for the benefit of project developers who are searching for financing in various parts of the world.

The network is structured in the following way:


Regional Partners

These organisations are committed to contributing to the SEFD for the long-term. They have an extensive geographical reach, an experienced track record in environmental issues, as well as a large internal resource capability. They provide an holistic approach to the directory in terms of data collection by providing information across most, if not all, of the directory's financial, technical and geographical parameters.

Contributors

These organisations are typically more specialised in a certain financial, technical or geographical field. They add depth to the directory through their more concentrated focus, and ensure that the directory does not miss the more locally-based or specialised, but equally important, financiers.
